Memorial Service Simulcast and Road Closures

Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Service Simulcast

  • Yavapai Community College is hosting a simulcast viewing at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center at 1100 E. Sheldon St. (Intersection of Rush and Sheldon Streets), Prescott, AZ.  The center seats approximately 1100.  Doors will open at 10 a.m.  The service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.  Parking is available in front of the center.

Area Road Closures around Tim’s Toyota Center

  • Due to the Firefighters Memorial Service Event at Tim’s Toyota Center on July 9th, the following road closures will be in effect beginning at 9 p.m. July 8 through July 9 at approximately 6 p.m.:
    • Florentine Road will be completely closed from Glassford Hill Road to Lake Valley Road
    • Lake Valley Road will be completely closed from Lakeshore Drive to Florentine
    • Main Street will be closed from Florentine south to the front of the event center
    • Florentine Road will be open for local traffic only from Lake Valley Road to Windsong Drive
    • A procession will take place on Glassford Hill Road from Florentine Road to 89A which will be closed for exiting traffic after the event for two hours.

Daily Update

Memorial Service – The Memorial Service for our Fallen Firefighters will be held Tuesday, July 9, at Tim’s Toyota Center (3201 N Main St, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314) starting at 11AM.


  • Indoor seating is no longer available.
    • Tickets have been issued to family and support “fire family” personnel
    • All others attending should plan to watch outdoors
    • Please be aware that shading or seating will not be provided.  The weather is calling for temperatures in the mid 90’s and humidity around 13%.  Water stations will be available.  Please come prepared to stand or bring lawn chairs but please plan for the heat.
  • The service will also be streamed live online.

Donations The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Incident Management Team would like to express our gratitude for the huge outpouring of concern from across the country.   The 100 Club of Arizona, the Wildland Firefighters Foundation, and the United Phoenix Firefighters Association continue taking donations to support the fallen firefighter families.  The official Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial team website is  Other similar websites have also been created but their intent or credibility has not been verified.  We encourage all donors to first check the credibility and confirm their 501C3 status before donating.  Credit cards can be used for donations on the official website and 100% of the donations will be given to the 19 families. (Monetary donations are preferred.)
